This image was created for a project in school using displacement maps. We were given a displacement map that looked like a puzzle. Then with some work and effort, the entire image looked like a puzzle. To add some realism to this image, I took one of the pieces out the image and made it appear like it was resting ontop. A drop shadow was also added for proper effect.
